Milan Fashion Week: Solange + Emporio Armani S/S ‘09

Since Solange is the official ambassador for Armani Jeans, I wonder if it’s mandatory for her to attend these Armani events. It probably is, but anyways — she attended the Emporio Armani fashion show in Milan, this morning, as part of their fashion week spring/summer previews. I don’t know what’s going with all these new uses for feathers, but Solange seems to be rocking hers as a headband. Hmmm. You won’t catch me in one. Still, minus the headband, I don’t like her outfit. The shoes are okay, but that’s about it. The dress looks too bulky, and is that velvet? She’s slippin’…

The show looked pretty good. A lot guys with no shirts, ladies in menswear — the usual Armani staples. Overall, I thought the pieces were very cute. I love the dresses and blazers.
