Events: 2009 BET Awards

Since I was away from home all night, I didn’t have the chance to watch the 2009 BET Awards. I’m usually not as excited to see any BET Award show, but I knew Jamie Foxx was hosting, there was a good performance line-up, and BET had planned on doing a Michael Jackson tribute, which would of course been worth watching.
Because I didn’t catch the show, I won’t be writing about it. What I will comment on however, is the fashion. I’ll start by saying that I have never in my life seen so many damn ugly pairs of shoes! What the heck were these women (and/or their stylists) thinking off?! Gross.
The only ones in my opinion to steal the show redcarpet-wise was Amber Rose & Kanye West. Oh, they look amazing together! Amber wore a white long-sleeve backless Alexander McQueen mini-dress, with neon pink pumps, and pink lip color to match. She of course wore her “cool” shades as usual. Thankfully not wearing a suit, Kanye is my kind’a guy in his beige jacket, white tee, jeans, and Timberland boots. The jeans could’ve been just a tad bit looser, but hey, he’s not my man so why do I care?!
My second best would def have to be Alicia Keys. She got is so right. She wore a summer-appropriate ethnic tunic dress with gold detailing, matched perfectly with her gold heels and accessories. Her hair was even perfectly done for this event. Too bad I can’t say the same for Beyonce, Cassie, and Tyra Banks who looked so bad, I won’t even bother adding her to this post. To finish off my rant, Cassie’s half-baldy is getting on my nerves. It wasn’t so bad in the beginning, but now that I know she’s purposely getting it “touched up” every 3days, I want to shoot her. And those boots, do you see those boots?! I swear no one knows how to dress themselves these days. It’s a very sad epidemic.
Actress Denyce Lawton takes vote #3 for me. Very shimmery, yet so cute.

Amber Rose & Amerie are wearing the same Alexander McQueen mini dress. You could put that on a style stealer.

am i the only one who likes the back of cassie’s dress, if only the front was plain like amerie’s/amber rose’s. i like amber rose, amerie, and ciara’s shoes, i don’t like beyonce’s though.
