Style Stealer: Madonna vs. Ashanti

Back in May, Madonna who is currently the face of Louis Vuitton, arrived at New York’s Annual Met Costume Gala wearing head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Fall 2009. Songbird, Ashanti, was also photo’d wearing the same thigh-high boots as Madge on Wednesday night at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors event in Brooklyn, New York. At first, I wasn’t so sure about Shani’s rocker look. But, now I can honestly say that I LOVE it. I think she looks fab in her strapless grey mini dress, and the boots go well with the ‘fit. Yes, people. I love it! I do.

…I actually posted a Best Dressed List & Worst Dressed for the Met event, and here’s what I had to say of Miss Madge:

“Fashion icon? Are you people serious? This ensemble was all Louis Vuitton, and what I want people to understand is that when you see all those outrageous props at fashion shows, that’s exactly what they are — outrageous props! Why is Madonna wearing these bunny ears?! She’s puzzling.”
