52nd Grammys: More Fashionistas + What They Wore

The GRAMMY Awards last night were okay. They weren’t too bad. Watching Beyonce march out with a fleet of squad/army men made me actually put my laptop down and pay attention, because I (and everyone else on Twitter aparently) thought the diva was going to kill it!
A big *WOMP* was all I got! Her performance ensemble was killer, but she performed such an old song — If I Were A Boy! Like who the hell marches out in such a tough and fierce costume and heels, only to perform a damn slow song?! WTF Beyonce! Uggghhh. Anyways. My fave performance all night was the Black Eyed Peas. Fergie did her thing as usual. Now onto the fashion!…
ARRIVALS
This list is in no particular order, but I do believe the ladies above were very well dressed! Miley Cyrus arrived in one of her fave designers, Herve Leger by Max Azria. Though she’s still only 17, I agree with the fit of the dress. It’s definitely not as snug as HL dresses usually are! And, the colors of her dress complemented her hair and eyes so well! Her look was completed by a Judith Leiber bag, shoes by Balenciaga and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Schwartz!
Jennifer Hudson looked FAB in this Victoria Beckham dress paired with black YSL Tribute Two pumps. When I first saw her, I almost choked. HER BODY IS LOOKING A-MA-ZING these days!
Miss Keri Hilson looked lovely in this beige strapless D&G gown. I think the fishtail and ruching go perfect with her figure, as she’s already not too curvy/thick. If someone with Beyonce or Kim Kardashian’s shape wore this, I think it would create the illusion that they’re actually heavier than they really are. Love the style of Keri’s hair, btw. I think her usual do’s would be too funky for this dress/event.
Ciara, the new muse of Givenchy, showed up in yet another Givenchy number. Can’t blame the girl right? Free means free! Anyways, I first thought this was a gown, but later found out that it is actually a jumpsuit, paired with an embellished jacket. I love it! I think she looks fab, and this is definitely something no one expected her to arrive in. She also wore over $250,000 in diamonds by Cartier, sporting a white gold and diamond scroll cocktail ring and matching stud earrings.

Jennifer Lopez, queen of the baile, chose a Versace silver chain mail mini dress with a long white silk chiffon overlay with chain mail inserts, belted at the waist. Of course, she finished her look with a pair of [white] Louboutins.
Lady Gaga of course came in something way OTT. Is it me or is this sh*t getting a little played out? Like, we JUST got introduced to Gaga less than a couple of years ago. So, does this mean for the rest of her time, she’ll ALWAYS be the most random one?! It’s kind of *yawn* to me, but whatever. Her dress was a custom-made Armani design.
Katy Perry’s backless Zac Posen gown was wack! Her chest is way too heavy to try out a look like this. She could’ve secured the “girls” much better. The hair was ugly, the bindi on her forehead was questionable, and that way-too-colorful clutch was…way too colorful!

I like Taylor Swift, especially how humble she is, but WHY OH WHY did they give her Album of the Year?! Yeah, she sold a lot of albums, but seriously?…She’s not worthy imo. Her singing is too much like talking to ever win such a prestigious award in my opinion. And, as usual, her style of dress bored the hell out of me. Kaufman Franco. Tons of sparkle. Snore.
This is not my fave color on Fergie at all. The blue is way too bright for her brunette tresses. This dress, with it’s gold detail would’ve looked so much better on a blonde. Her Emilio Pucci dress was topped off with a Kwiat cuff, Jessica Robinson ring and earrings, Le Silla shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch.
I love love love this Tony Ward couture gown on Ashanti. The color definitely compliments her bronze skin very well. The hair, makeup, and jewels, were all in place and on point. Good job Shani!

Mary J Blige was a bit of a snore in this raspberry Gucci gown.
I like Pink’s Tony Ward dress, but not the color. I think it makes platinum blonde hair look almost silver.
Here’s what I had to say about Rihanna and Beyonce’s gowns.
