Back in May, Madonna who is currently the face of Louis Vuitton, arrived at New York’s Annual Met Costume Gala wearing head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Fall 2009. Songbird, Ashanti, was also photo’d wearing the same thigh-high boots as Madge on Wednesday night at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors event in Brooklyn, New York. At first, I wasn’t so sure about Shani’s rocker look. But, now I can honestly say that I LOVE it. I think she looks fab in her strapless grey mini dress, and the boots go well with the ‘fit. Yes, people. I love it! I do.

Best Dressed: The MET Costume Institute Gala “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion”

Whoever thought award events were the only celeb fashion show-downs, they thought wrong! Last night, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, celebs came out to support the annual gala. This year, the theme was ‘The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion.’ Many ladies like the ones above, and below, made mama very proud. Amber Rose and her bald blondie looked amazing in this strapless red gown. If you hadn’t noticed, she has a new tattoo, which is a cover-up for the former one that read ‘Ernest’. She claimed she had gotten it when she was (only) 15yrs old and “represented” her puppy love for her ex. She also claimed she wouldn’t get it removed, because it was symbolic for somewhere she didn’t want to be again. RIGHT! ‘Guess Kanye checked that! LOL. Molly Sims was def one of my faves, as she showed up in a gold and black ensemble, which is so edgy and so far from her usual style. Iman, who is always at her best, wore Donna Karan. & Rachel Bilson looked super-cute, minus the pin-straight hair, as she arrived in a teal strapless Brian Atwood dress and exotic python pumps. The gold-plated clutch was also a nice touch.

Celebrity Blogger, Perez Hilton, celebrated his 31st birthday over the weekend. The party, which was held at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, was a star-studded event. Paris Hilton has NEVER looked this good to me! Everything from her cute banged-bob ‘do to her fingerless gloves and studded booties look great! Amanda Bynes wore a pretty pink sleeveless dress, Chanel purse, and YSL pumps. Robin Antin was also there wearing a very cute hairstyle, chain-strap purse, latex leggings, a black blazer, and peep-toe pumps. Ashley Tisdale showed up looking fab in an ALC motorcycle jacket, white torn denim, and open-toe ankle booties. Also on the list: Kim Kardashian, Aubrey O’Day, Heidi Montag + Spencer Pratt, Emmy Rossum, Tara Reid, and socialite Brittny Gastineau.

…and We’re Back!

Please excuse the 2wk absence! I’ve been super-busy…only having enough time to check my emails, so thanx to everyone who kept checking for me. Okay, so here’s what I’ve been up to:
1. Keyshia Cole concert - I got the chance (very last-minute) to go and see KeyshiaCole, Lil’ Wayne, and T-Pain in concert @ Nassau Coliseum in NY! I had a blast. Keri Hilson even made a special appearance, and so did Lil’ Kim. Keyshia, who performed in thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots, was most def my fave performer of the night. Her voice is so amazing, even when singing live.
2. I got a new phone - I’ve been dying to get the ’sold out’ white G1 for T-Mobile, and I did! Love it.
3. School - School started back again on Tuesday. I was very excited for the new semester, and I have some amazing fashion classes and experienced professors who’ve worked as Fashion Directors and Stylists for MTV, VH1, W Magazine, SAKS, and VOGUE. Oh, and what’s not great about school in NYC?!
4. ‘Notorious’ Movie - This is def the best movie of 2009! I loved it. Saw it on opening night.
5. Did wayyy too much shopping, so I’ll be shopping via windows for a while!
** The SAG Awards airs tonight, so I must get back to work!

* Okay, since this is my first ‘Look of the Week’ spread this year, and there are so many fab looks to choose from, you may VOTE FOR TWO LOOKS in EACH POLL! It may not be as exciting to you, as it is to me, but it definitely helps because it’s hard to choose just one!
- Cassie: She attended the “Notorious” movie premiere earlier this week, and showed up wearing a créme and black Givenchy jacket, with emroidered detailing, and cutout platform heels.
- Chloë: Fashionista extraordinaire, Chloë Sevigny, co-hosted an NYE party with rapper T.I. last week, wearing full-on Louis Vuitton Spring 2009.
- Kate: After her “I hate the term ‘hippie-chic’,” comment in the latest issue of InStyle magazine, Kate, the non-hippie, visited the “Late Show with David Letterman” wearing her sexiest Pucci sequined FREAKUM DRESS and a pair of 5in. Sergio Rossi heels!
