Fall is without a doubt my favorite season for beauty and fashion alike. The alluring dark reds, enticing deep purples and sultry brown hues definitely turn up the heat during this wintery part of the year. So, needless to say, I was thrilled to discover that fashion powerhouse, D&G, recruited sexy siren and actress, Scarlett Johansson, as its fall beauty ambassador.

Dolce&Gabbana introduces their Evocative Beauty Collection as “a collection of luxury colour cosmetics inspired by a woman who surrounds herself with luxury and glamour.”  The lovely Johansson effortlessly personifies its overtone of passion, femininity, with a hint of vulnerability and sexuality. Beauty-gasm worthy indeed!

The collection features lipsticks, glosses, shadow quads, and a limited edition bronzer and nail lacquer, all curated by innovative makeup artist Pat McGrath. The array of warm browns and plums, cool jewel-toned blues, and a splash of bright pinks shades are compatible with ALL skin types. And even though my pockets will hate me later, D&G is très cher; I cannot resist the urge to splurge. Check out my D&G beauty wish list below.

Pretty? — More like poppin’. Plenty of beauty buffs and even lip gloss lovers are hopping on this new bright pink lip-color trend. Like many beauty trends, this look is not for everyone. But, if paired well with the right makeup, ensemble, etc, I definitely believe that just about anyone could have this trend work well in their favor.

When it comes to lip color, this season’s hottest beauty trend has to be plum lips. Just like a lot of things, it’s not for everyone, but you do have to admit — it does look good! It gives a very dark look, without being too gothic or sinister. Jason Wu’s runway this fall featured gorgeous models sporting the popular lip color as they strutted down the runways, but out of all the beauties above, Miss Rihanna Fenty was the first to rock the berry-like lip color, last summer at the 2008 BET Awards.

I don’t know about the rest of the world, but it’s more than cold in New York City right now. It’s actually freezing! I can’t find my favorite black scarf, so I’m pretty much on the verge of catching a cold, but that’s not the worst part. I went to one of my fave stores today and planned on buying a few scarves, gloves, and hats — which is my new thing. I just got my hair done, and it would look super-cute with a knitted beret! Anywho, instead of buying those things, I bought like 6 new tops! LOL. It’s a bitter-sweet feeling, because they look gorgeous, but I still haven’t bought my “winter necessities”. I did, however, buy two pairs of gloves. A black one, and a beige one.
