The Summer of Love may be long over, but there’s a certain irreverence and youthful spirit that never leaves the City by the Bay. Everywhere you look color is bursting through the fog, from the cheery pastel row houses to the bold murals of the Mission District. At Kohl’s you can find great clothes that embody San Francisco’s one-of-a-kind style.

The AB Studio sheath dress, textured Vera Wang tights, and sapphire blue Rock & Republic pumps reflect San Francisco’s cosmopolitan style.

Adding comfy Lauren Conrad flares with slightly more polished pieces creates an updated version of the classic San Francisco hippie ensemble.

Dress down the Jennifer Lopez blazer with Lauren Conrad flares to create a great outfit for hanging in Dolores Park or thrift shopping on Mission.

The tangerine orange of this Solid Shirred blouse by Chaps evokes the warmth of the Golden State, while the AB Studio sheath dress reflects San Francisco’s more cosmopolitan side.

There’s always a place for bohemian threads in San Francisco. Channel your inner Janis Joplin with the same Chaps orange blouse, and Mudd feathered headband (which you can also wear as a necklace or belt).

This Jennifer Lopez blazer recalls the San Francisco Symphony’s famous Black and White Ball—a longstanding high society tradition. But San Francisco is a place to break rules, so you can dress it down with a SO® crewneck tee to give it a bit of edge.

Fall/Winter 2010 Trend: Leopard Print Footwear

Comments Off

Leopard print heels are most definitely the hottest footwear trend of the season. Everyone from models like Anne Vyalitsyna, to Reality TV stars LaLa Vazquez and Kim Kardashian have been spotted sporting this trend. Long gone are the days of labeling leopard print as “tacky” or “over-the-top.” Granted, like most things, too much can be dangerous!

At work: Go for a minimalistic look. Pair your leopard heels with a simple wrap dress dress, or try a belted tulip-style dress like Anne V’s red carpet look.

Lunch date: For a chic lunch date look like LaLa’s, team your leopard print heels with a dressy blazer, simple tee, and fitted pants.

Out and about: Shopping or headed to a flight? — Work those heels like Kim Kardashian, with a casual over-sized top, stretch jeans, and shades.

Click here to read my recent footwear post, and where to find some fabulous high-end and affordable leopard print footwear. There are boots, high-heels, flats/sneakers, and more!

Senso WILMA-thumb

So lets face it, “boots with the fur” haven’t exactly been the most chic shoes to have. Often times, they come off looking extremely cheap and unfashionable. However, while the hottest boots this fall/winter come in all shapes and sizes (lace-ups, wedges, flats, stillettos, etc), they all have one thing in common: (real & faux) fur! Prepare to indulge your feet in the warmth of fur, shearling, and even fleece-resembling fur.

Cropped tops are one of this summer’s hottest trends. They can either be dressed up with a pair of high-waisted trousers and heels, or dressed down with a pair of skinnies or mini shorts. Wedged heels also look great with any cropped top style.
