While watching the pre-show, I thought to myself, “oooh! Shakira’s wearing Balmain!” — then I saw Pink arrive and thought “ooh! She’s wearing…what Shakira wore?!”. Usually I would be all over this post like white on rice (LOL, so old school), but the fact that Shakira and Pink are both two cool chicks in their own lanes, and even purposely took a photo together made me not care as much. They’re both hott!

When we saw supermodel Selita Ebanks rocking this Balmain number a few months back at the New York Premiere of Valentino’s Last Emperor, she knocked our socks off. Pairing her revealing LBD with simple Givenchy t-strap heels, Selita proved to us once again that she stands in her own lane. Singer LeToya Luckett arrived at last night’s 2009 BET Awards wearing the same Balmain dress with silver embellishments and zippers placed all around, paired with chunky metallic silver and black heels. The only difference with LeToya’s dress is that she modified the cleavage area to possess a bandage-like covering.
* I’d definitely agree that LeToya’s is a more classy look than Selita’s, but this is Balmain, so I doubt classy was the look she was going for. I think she looks super-sexy and amazing, plus her heels are wayyyy better. So yeah, Selita def has my vote!

Talk about an obsession. Designer-wise, Balmain is the most popular brand of the season. From their acid wash jeans and studded designs, to their shoulder-padded blazers, each style has been a hit. One thing you can always expect from any Balmain collection is excitement, and I’d have to say the most eye-catching piece is the crystal embellished studded sandals. Many celeb fashionistas like Rihanna [not pictured], Selita Ebanks, Cassie, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Jennifer Connelly have been spotted rocking their own pair of these funky diamanté studded heels.
