Fierce shoes are in the forecast for Fall! Project Runway’s Christian Siriano has teamed up with Payless to design a collection of amazingly fierce boots and heels. Sticking to a sweet color palette of chocolate and turquoise blue, the designer’s true talents really shines through these chained patent leather beauties. — Not just because they’re sexy, but mainly because they are AFFORDABLE! The reported prices are said to range from $25-45. This is serious shoe-gasm!

Kimora Lee Simmons showed her KLS 2009 collection yesterday, at the fabulous Gotham Hall in New York City.  I have to admit, this collection is the best I’ve seen from her in a while. The collection was dipped in glamour and sprinkled with edginess — studded leather, lovely lace, rich furs, pearls, and jewels to the max, rhinestone embellishments on the jeans, t-shirts, handbags etc. Yes, Kimora never seizes to amaze her fashion audience with the constant presence of Fabulosity in all that she does.

[Victoria Beckham wearing Armani at yesterday's 5th Avenue Armani store opening in NYC.]

Victoria Beckham may have started her eponymous dress collection with 12 styles in September 2008, but she’s returned this Fashion Week with an expanded collection of gowns, jackets and embellished minis that has debuted to rave reviews.

Style.com says, “These dresses look so well-made, so of-the-moment yet also timeless…that they do the talking for [Beckham]”.

The International Herald Tribune found the designer as a stand-out among her celeb-designer peers: “Beckham has succeeded in creating a collection in her own image with playful gestures and with a sense that, unlike most celebrity lines, she would be proud and pleased to wear every piece herself.”

And WWD seems to think Victoria might be evolving into a fashion heavy hitter. “Though too early to tell — a mere two collections into her second career — judging from the controlled lineup she showed on Sunday, it seems that [Beckham] may indeed be no lightweight. (Figuratively, that is. Formerly Posh is still a slip of a girl.)”

PEOPLE caught up with the designer at Armani/5th Avenue store opening last night and she was still reeling from her her great reviews. “It’s been wonderful,” she gushed. “The reviews have been absolutely outstanding. The retail response has been wonderful. The sales grew, so far, over the previous collection. It has been phenomenal. The whole thing is mind-blowing to be honest. I love what I do.” [Source]

Derek Lam’s show was held yesterday at 635 West 42nd Street in New York, and like his last collection, Derek has earned my vote, yet again. The result was one of Lam’s strongest and most focused collections to date — terrifically luxe, well-polished all-American sportswear. There were plenty of sumptuous furs, too, which further upped the coziness vibe, throughout this knockout collection. Need more evidence of the latter? — Check out the gold-printed sequin cardis and satin tuxedo jackets as well as his trademark jersey goddess gowns, which got a sexy tweak with tighter, more body-conscious draping details. Jill Stuart’s show, which took place at the New York Public Library, in Astor Hall, New York, was full of leather, lace, and all things 1983 — shredded tiered skirts. In some instances, the disheveled diva look worked — as with a black lace dress and skinny pants paired with bloused-sleeve tops, which struck a louche vibe. But the freshness of Stuart’s signature dresses often got snuffed out under chiffon layers and fringe. [WWD]
