Style Stealer: Amber Rose vs. Amerie

What’s worse than showing up to an award show wearing the same dress as someone else? – Hmmm – Obviously being the one whose look fell completely flat! Last night at the 2009 BET Awards, both Amber Rose and singer Amerie showed up wearing the same backless white Alexander McQueen mini dress. Seeing how I dubbed Amber best dressed last night, it’s obvious that I felt she looked best. On such a beautifully sunny day in LA, it was nice to see her liven up the red carpet with her neon pink patent leather pumps. For me, it wasn’t Amerie’s shoes that ruined it for me because I love her Alexander McQueen peep-toe booties, but her makeup and appeal was all wrong. You would have never known she was wearing a backless dress! She’s also such a naturally pretty girl, so the need to cake on all that eye makeup was unnecessary.

* I believe that overall, Amber Rose killed Amerie in every department. She definitely owned this look!

Style Stealer: Selita Ebanks vs. LeToya Luckett

When we saw supermodel Selita Ebanks rocking this Balmain number a few months back at the New York Premiere of Valentino’s Last Emperor, she knocked our socks off. Pairing her revealing LBD with simple Givenchy t-strap heels, Selita proved to us once again that she stands in her own lane. Singer LeToya Luckett arrived at last night’s 2009 BET Awards wearing the same Balmain dress with silver embellishments and zippers placed all around, paired with chunky metallic silver and black heels. The only difference with LeToya’s dress is that she modified the cleavage area to possess a bandage-like covering.

* I’d definitely agree that LeToya’s is a more classy look than Selita’s, but this is Balmain, so I doubt classy was the look she was going for. I think she looks super-sexy and amazing, plus her heels are wayyyy better. So yeah, Selita def has my vote!

Style Stealer: Fergie vs. Khloe Kardashian vs. LaLa Vazquez

This week, Fergie and her groupmates of the Black Eyed Peas attended the launch party of their new album at VIP Room Theatre in Paris, France. Upon arrival, she posed for photographers while wearing a black Alexander Wang dress with mesh panel detail. T.V. personalities and BFFs Khloe Kardashian & LaLa Vazquez were also photo’d rocking the same A.Wang dress, days apart. Khloe wore hers with classic pointy-toe Christian Louboutin heels, while LaLa paired hers with her fave black leather Alexander McQueen peep-toe ankle booties and Alexander McQueen “squeeze it” bow clutch.

* I really love the way Khloe looks in her ensemble, but I feel that LaLa’s Alexander McQueen booties add a little something extra to her look, which I love.

Style Stealer: Rihanna vs. Paris Hilton vs. Demi Lovato

Definitely one of my fave designs from Alexander Wang’s Pre-Fall 2009 collection, this nude and black corset dress has been spotted on all three fashionistas above. Rihanna first wore her A.Wang dress on a night out on the town last month, after being spotted leaving her friend Kayne West’s NYC condo. She completed her look with black Jil Sander pumps, dark shades, and a metallic Erva tote bag. Paris Hilton attended a taping of The Late Show With David Letterman, where she sported the oh-so popular geometric House of Harlow necklace with black YSL Trib Two pumps. Demi Lovato was the last to wear the same design as she attended a Movie Premiere earlier this week in Toronto. She also completed her look with black YSL Trib Two pumps and silver accessories.

* Though I love Paris’ necklace paired with the A.Wang dress, I have to give my vote to Rihanna, because I think her hair and shades added a little something extra to the look. Plus I’m so over YSL Tribute heels.

Style Stealer: Gwyneth Paltrow vs. LaLa Vazquez vs. Daria Werbowy

This is actually one of my favorite designs from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2009 collection. This white strapless dress, with sweetheart neckline and origami skirt has been previously worn by all three fashionistas above, Gwyneth Paltrow, LaLa Vazquez, and model Daria Werbowy.

* My vote would’ve gone to Gwyn, because I LOVE her heels. BUT, I hate the way her chest looks, so I’ll give it to LaLa. Her colorful embellished clutch added a nice pop of color to the outfit, which she completed with gold metallic slingback pumps.
